London-based Russian pop artist, Olga Lomaka, is famous for her giant ice-cream cone sculptures, elongated fibreglass Pink Panthers and wooden panels of Buddhas embossed with Coca-Cola and Facebook logos.

Lomaka’s work has been described as everything from bonkers to magical, humorous to existential. Her sculptural series Pink Magic, featuring that lanky, enigmatic panther, was picked out by Grayson Perry when he curated the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition in 2018. The piece brought her to the attention of 300,000 art lovers – and confirmed her place in London’s contemporary art scene.

Olga Lomaka’s new project ’Through Time and Space’ is a series of chrome sculptures in her trademark pop, esoteric and the magical.

Join her on a voyage ‘Through Time and Space’ with sculptures reminiscent of “Judgment Day’ – here a melting chrome pink panther is sent back in time to change the future.

Like The Terminator he is the messenger from the future, coming to remind us of the importance of the present moment.

Lomaka says: “The best way to predict the future is to create it. All creation begins with a thought.” The Pink Panther is a mirror within the ever-shifting drama that plays out on its surface, where you find your own reflection, pink and gleaming like some luxurious futuristic idol.

Despite the guise of humour, playfulness and vibrancy this new series is of deep a spiritual, philosophical and psychological nature. Through Time and Space is an exploration of the universe, the consciousness which is embedded in it and the multi-dimensional realities of what is possible.

The cartoon-like playful sculptures should evoke positive emotions “just like the ones we felt in childhood: when trees were big and the rainbow shined at every moment.”

The Through Time And Space series is available now, from £5,000. New prints, The Cosmic Voyage, will follow, from £50, through Jealous Studio; jealousprints.com, Instagram @lomakaart and olgalomaka.com
