It’s that time of year again when Leicester Square is transformed into a Christmas market, buzzing with festive cheer. The highlight of which is the Spiegeltent cabaret show, Multi- award winning La Clique.
This year’s show does not disappoint with it’s line up of performers that includes strap artist LJ Marles, the wonderful Chastity Belt, puppetry, striptease along with lots of other surprises.
David Pereira’s aerial routine is truly breathtaking. He strips completely in his second performance covering himself in shaving foam. Then proceeds to demonstrate to the audience how he contort his body. LJ Marles’ gives us another sensational strap performance.
Tara Boom is back with that popcorn machine hat on her head. She appears to make popcorn, then throws bags of popcorn into the audience, strips down to barely anything, lathers her body in salt and butter and performs her unique hula hoop juggling routine. In contrast to this, Yulia Pykhtina hula hoop performance is elegant and graceful.
Chastity Belt delivers several well known songs with her powerful voice. My particular favourite is her rendition of Hozier’s Take me to Church.
La Clique runs in Leicester square from 8th of November to 6th of January and is a fantastic night out to get into the Christmas spirit.
