The Artiscape spoke to producer Stephen McGill
How did you get involved with Blippi Wonderful World Tour?
McGill: We have our co-producer Jamie’s nephew to thank! He kept on raving to Jamie about this amazing show Blippi so we got in touch with the US team behind the production and the rest is history!
What the challenges in producing such a phenomenally successful show as Blippi?
McGill: There are the usual logistical challenges of moving the set, costumes, etc all over the country, Blippi does have a few vehicles he likes to take with him everywhere! Also not necessarily a challenge, we have a responsibility to make sure the audience have a great time at our shows, which we have been successful with so far.
Why do you think Blippi’s live shows are so popular with children?
McGill: Blippi is such a rockstar! His energy and enthusiasm come across so well with children and he encourages them to sing, dance and shout!
What do you think children are going to like about Blippi Wonderful World Tour?
McGill: I think they are going to enjoy taking a trip with Blippi and his friend Meekah learning all about the different cities you can go, and of course getting to wriggle, dance and party throughout the show!
